DG SBP Usman Anwar Visits Kabaddi Training Camp. - Sports Board Punjab Director General Sports Punjab (SBP) Usman Anwar, on Tuesday, visited the national kabaddi training camp being organized at Punjab Stadium. Sports Board Punjab is holding training camp for the preparation of upcoming Kabaddi World Cup to be played in India early next month. DG SBP watched the camp proceedings minutely and asked the kabaddi probables to focus on technique of the game besides doing hard physical exercises. “It’s a modern era and solid and perfect technique plays a major role in the success of any team,” he added. Usman urged the camp participants to play maximum number of practice matches and try to remove their frailties in their raiding, stopping and technique as well. “The grand Kabaddi World Cup is approaching speedily and our kabaddi team must prepare themselves properly for the challenging encounters of the mega event. Our team management should carve out its game plan according to the weak and strong points of the opposing teams,” he urged. DG SBP also asked national kabaddi team to put their emphasis on winning the coveted title on Indian soil. “We are very fortunate to have world class players in our team and I’m quite confident that our players can win the mega event,” he expressed his hope. Later, DG SBP enquired about the facilities being provided to national kabaddi players at the training camp.
