DISCLOSURE: I’m a former police officer (Tucson, AZ), my brother - TopicsExpress

DISCLOSURE: I’m a former police officer (Tucson, AZ), my brother is a retired cop, and a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff raised me. My police work was an eon ago (like maybe I worked on the Cain-killing-Abel murder case in the Garden of Eden). Nonetheless, I speak with some knowledge about HOW TO AVOID GETTING KILLED OR INJURED BY THE POLICE: 1) Don’t commit a crime. 2) Follow all police instructions and commands immediately 3) Never go into an “attack mode” posture 4) Never, never resist arrest 5) Never ever try to touch an officer’s gun 6) Keep your hands in plain sight and never ever appear to be reaching for a gun 7) Treat a law enforcement officer as you’d like to be treated if you had his or her tough job. If you think your arrest is unjust (and that’s possible), don’t argue with the cop, don’t resist, just comply – then file a complaint or tell your lawyer the next day. Police officers are less than perfect – and so is everybody else. Just thank God that Alaska and our USA has the best law enforcement officers in the world. PS: Yup, the photos show what I looked like when I was a 23 year old cop! (and probably too young to grow a beard, even if itd been permitted).
