DIY repairs can be rewarding, but can turn sour pretty quickly, main reason is due a lot of cheap poor quality parts available to buy online. Here are a few photos of screens falling apart after a few months, the white one was actually from a local repairer. The black one was a cheap EBay DIY screen kit for a 5S, which was faulty and actually damaged the mainboard, resulting in customer now needing to buy a another phone. The eBay seller may refund a faulty screen if returned not damaged, but not cover you for any damage caused to phone during a DIY repair.
