DJ Mash started spinning at 16. It started as just a hobby and a way to relax from studies and entertain friends, but due to his passion for music, it was no real surprise that his hobby soon started turning into something more. In 1990, the start of the House age, he had the first opportunity to DJ professionally and from that point on he never looked back. He soon ranked up a list of venues playing in Jordan, Beirut, Hurghada, Dahab and Sharm El Sheikh, and then in 1996 He secured a nightly residency at the Bus Stop club in Sanafir hotel. This was the true start of his career as Bus Stop allowed him to experiment with a diverse range from House mixes introduced him to big name DJs, exposing him to different genres of music, which encouraged him to develop his style. He has played alongside David Guetta, David Tort, John Kelly, Sander Kleinenberg, Tocadisco, Erick morillo, Axwell, Steve Angello, Laidback Luke, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Lawler, Wally Lopez, Juan Diaz, Dave Seaman, Eddie Halliwell, Laurent Wolf, Pete Tong, Gregori Klosman, Oscar De Rivera, Robbie Rivera, Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez, Danny Rampling, Angel Linde, Lucien Foort, Sara Main, David Penn, Simon & Shaker, Prezisos, Smash, and Bodyrox to name just a few.Not to forget leading huge events like Pure Pacha, Pacha Recordings, St. Tropez meets Ed Hardy, New York Fashion Life, Fashion TV and Defected In The House, Space Sharm. So far he is on the right track and gaining a solid reputation especially since 2004 when he was crowned the best DJ in the Middle East by DJ Magazine. He was one of the Residents at Pacha Sharm, and got big air time and a regular slot playing at the popular House Nation, Melt, Cherry Drops, and Hits Mania parties. To keep his music up to date he searches the major record labels for new releases and of course rubs shoulders with high-profile guest DJs. Two of his favorite DJs are Sander Kleinenberg and Dave Seaman both of which have played alongside Mash at Pacha Sharm. Mash is known for his diverse mixing ability and easily switches vibes reading the crowd and varying his sets to suit each party. He has the unique ability to extract beats from all corners of house music and blend them together audiovisually into uplifting happy sets, which fit perfectly to the sunshine city and the mix of oversea tourists, locals and the Cairo crowd.
