DOB: 2011 Suzy was in a loving home; however they had to have massive surgery which impaired their ability to properly care for a dog of her size, so her owner made the difficult decision to rehome her with the help of GTTD. Suzy is used to living with another dog, and cats, and having older children around but she really is seeking a quieter type home. What is Suzy like? Well... Just picture a combination of Betty White, Red from Orange is the New Black, and Ani DiFranco: She has a somewhat tough or intimidating exterior, but can be a witty, and charming lady when you get to know her. She carries these ladies ability to be very strong willed, independent, and running her own show both on screen, or behind the scenes, lol. Suzy says I dont need a man to make me happy She really tends to only enjoy new peoples company with caution and on her own terms. For this reason she would do best in a home with less chaos, no younger children (preferably none at all), and possibly a single female to share her common strengths who is patient and not demanding of instant affection. Once she comes to you, the joy of her soft side will melt your heart! She is a goofy girl, pawing you for play time, hopping around to gain your attention, play bowing when she wants her toy. She is just such a big lug of a pooch who sits her fanny on the couch while her front feet are planted on the floor as if she is a human, it is really comical. Now for her additional requests that she let me know she desired: She would like anyone interested in adopting to know she does need her crate for times that she wants to retreat and nap, or when you are not home to supervise her. She also let me know that she loves this game we call treat and retreat when she gets to know new people which her foster mommy can gladly show you how to do. Suzy is a short coat and doesnt really drool a lot other than during meals, but it should still be noted that the adopter will have to be very tolerant of these typical breed characteristics. Suzy is a BIG dog, so she eats a LOT so be prepared that you are not feeding a 50lb dog here, you are feeding a dog over 120lbs. She also takes up lots of room in a vehicle/home so you would want to make sure you have that ability and can transport her if/when needed. Suzy is currently available through the Going To The Dogs Rescue in Perry, NY. Adoption Fee:$250 Email: goingtothedogsmail@yahoo
