DONT GIVE UP-THE WOMAN IN MATTHEW 15:21-28 Jesus continues in dialogue with her, but now He insults her by referring to her as one of the little dogs. Can you imagine this Jesus who she had just worshipped called her a dog. This derogatory term was one commonly used by the Jews to refer to Gentiles (non-Jews). How would she deal with Jesus harsh words? She could respond by being bitter, angry, upset, offended or to just simply walk away. She could have said How dare you refer to me like that. I have come to you for help and I even worship you, and all you can do is tell me that I am a little dog? Man Get lost! Ill never serve or worship you again. No she didn’t! But instead she agrees with him! Not only that, but she uses the same term little dog to help her plead her cause. And here is what she said; Yes Lord, whatever you say, but even the little dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master’s table. She responded in a way to let Jesus know she knew who He was, but this time she was letting Him know who Jesus was to her. She called Him her master. Jesus could no longer contain how impressed He was with this woman tenacity. So He takes the time to commend her unbelievable faith. He told her that she had demonstrated GREAT FAITH. He then was compelled to grant this woman’s request. The bible says the womans daughter was instantly healed. She overcame every test and obstacle thrown her way! I believe all along, Jesus knew what He was going to do for this woman, but He was testing her faith. How badly did she want the healing for her daughter? She would not give up? This story is a great lesson to God’s Modern Day Millionaires on how to be tenacious no matter what. You are one of God’s Modern Day Millionaires.
