Would like to share a little story from my dad and myselfs last meeting when we were saying our goodbyes. We always had this relationship that we knew we loved each other but we never told each other. He knew he was my hero I knew he was proud of me with everything I have done. His life was completed when Mike finally got moved out here and all three of his boys were all living here on the land that he farmed for the past 50 years. You could see how proud he was having us all out here by his smiles and the way he talk to us. Now all of us boys always knew our dad was there no matter what it took whatever he had to do for us. He knew he was our hero and we all knew he was very proud of us. The one and only thing missing and probably the most important was we had all never told each other that we love them. The night he was entered into hospice was the first night I told my dad I loved-him and hearing him say those words back to me were absolutely priceless. Words that are so easy to say are sometimes terrifying to say. Please tell somebody you love them every day. Whether its a brother sister nephew niece mom dad grandma grandpa friend husband wife. tell somebody you love them every day. Right before they move my dad to hospice I shut the door and we were alone and he wrapped me in his arms with quiet weak voice and told me how much he loved me and how proud he was. As we both cried knowing we were saying our final goodbyes. That moment I will never forget the rest of my life. Enjoy your family and friends and let them know every day what they mean to you dont get so frustrated straighted over little things and enjoy life. Every night I say prayer before bed for dad to watch all over us and especially my nephews I hear his voice and that whispery voice telling me he loves me. Wouldnt trade anything in the world for that. I love you dad and miss you!!!
