DOWNTOWN L.A., HERE I COME! Having been a Valley Girl for the past decade or so, I havent spent much time in the rapidly, beautifully evolving city core of Los Angeles. So Im very excited to be attending the 40th anniversary of my -- and my producer husband Jennings Langs -- biggest movie, EARTHQUAKE, at the Million Dollar Theater there on Saturday evening, January 10. (Complete details about this event, including tickets, can found at the link in the comments thread below.) It will be fun to be in close proximity to the Art Deco classic Eastern Columbia Building, which is featured prominently in this gorgeous short film by Ian Wood, and with which I had daring photographic encounter on behalf of MGM Studios publicity department shortly after I moved to L.A. from New York in 1950. Its wonderful to see this portion of the city making such a comeback... and to have invited me to come back for a special visit! oxo, Monica
