Daily Current Affairs:- 1)What is the name of India’s third aircraft-carrier naval ship, which is to be inducted into the Indian Navy by the end of this year? –INS Vikramaditya(This Russian made aircraft carrier wason 4 July 2013 taken to the sea for its final three- month long trials before it is handed over to Indiaon 15 November 2013. It will replace INS Viraat, which is the only aircraft-carrier with the Indian Navy at present. INS Vikramaditya was originally built as Admiral Gorshkov and was in the service of the erstwhile Soviet Navy. Later it became partof the Russian Navy after disintegration of the Soviet Union. Indiaacquired this aircraft-carrier in 2004 at $1.8 billion and numerous upgrades and refitments were required in it. It was expected to be inducted in Indian Navy by 2008 but delivery was pushed back by 5 years due to numerous reasons. Its costs have now escalated to around $2.3 billion. India’s first aircraft-carrier was INS Vikrant, which has been decommissioned long back)
