Daily Forecast - Monday, December 15, 2014 Good morning everyone. Clouds decided to stick around longer this past weekend than expected but should be out of the area for the most part today. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies are expected today as our next storm system will near the region. Highs will top out in the mid 40s this afternoon with very light winds. Tonight clouds will be on the increase with lows dropping to around the freezing mark. A low pressure system coming out of the Midwestern states today will move through the Great Lakes region on Tuesday. Late Tuesday pressure will begin falling along the coast as a secondary low will eventually take over. By the time it does so it will have moved well north and east of the region to bring any significant impacts. Rain is likely beginning Tuesday afternoon into the Wednesday morning time frame. No significant rainfall amounts are expected with much of the region receiving less than 1/3. Models are beginning to key in on the idea of a storm system potentially bringing an impact to the region later this weekend. It is too soon to get caught up in what kind of impact or precipitation types there might be. My advice is to wait a couple of days and see where guidance is by midweek. This event is several days away yet to get caught up in any hype. Worry about how the models handle Tuesdays system first then the weekend. One storm at a time folks! I will try to have a post later today on the midweek and weekend potential if I am feeling better. Been dealing with some kind of cold/hoarseness the past few days. Have a great day everyone!
