Daily Prayer - Ps 122:8 For the sake of my relatives and friends I will say, Peace be within you. Lord of Light, With graceful surrender, born of your Spirit, I whisper, Peace ... Before the widow and widower, ... Before the addict trapped in the lure of disease, ... Before the child crying in fear, ... Before the depressed who cant shake the sadness, ... Before the teenager lost in anxietys grasp, ... Before the creature abandoned in the cold street, ... Before the sick laboring for life in the hospital bed, ... Before the abused and the abuser, Peace. Its so easy, but so hard. For the sake of those whom you have entrusted to me to love, teach me today that these words might guide me, Peace be within you. Teach us, as your people. Teach us all things peace. Because you can. Amen and amen.
