Daiwa Foundation Event: University Reform in Japan Four British universities are ranked in the top five in the QS World University rankings, with 29 from the UK featuring in the top 200. Yet, only ten of Japans universities make it onto the list, with the top Japanese university (Tokyo) ranked at 31. How can Japanese universities compete on the international stage (if they have to at all)?
