Dalam bas balik ke Melaka menyelesaikan amanah. Sambil2 tu, teringin nak share pasal one of the things belajar dkt ToF. Pos ni pasal Ruqyah so akan panjang skit. Read and ask if you dont understand. :) Saya xde semua jawapan. Kalau saya xleh jawab. Saya akan cari jawapan jugak dgn bertanya. Ruqyah in the old days of Jahiliyyah are words or phrases that are RECITED in order to cure something. Ruqyah has been around since the old times. During the time of Rasulullah, a few of the sahabat asked him whether is ruqyah permissible or not? He said in an authentic Hadith (Forgot narrator but definitely authentic and not full exact hadith, just what I remembered) Bring your ruqyah to me. There is nothing wrong with Ruqyah as long as it does not contain Syirik. Nowadays or since the days of Prophet Muhammad SAW, ruqyah is defined as words or phrases that must be RECITED and not acted that are taken from the Quran and Hadith to cure or to protect from something. Now there are a few points to this matter. First, it MUST be recited. Any act of using Talismans, or items or anything is not what is done by the prophet. Although the act of blowing into water after reading is partially similar, but in its essence, Ruqyah is only words or phrases from the Quran recited. There are leniency from the Ulama about reading and blowing into water or some practices that are allowable but the most authentic way of Ruqyah is just recitation. I will quote an authentic hadith to prove this later and attach the requirements of a Ruqyah. One of the examples of Rasulullah practicing Ruqyah is before he goes to sleep. He would read the 3 Quls and blow a bit onto a his hand a rub all over his body. Another example is when he is with hia grandchildren. He would recite ruqyah for them before they sleep. Even at the end of his life when he was really weak, Aisyah RA witnessed that she helped him to wipe his body using his hands after reciting ruqyah before he went to sleep because he was really weak. Ruqyah is a form of doa. When we make ruqyah, you must have absolute conviction. Convince that Allah will reply your doa. So when we doa or reas quran oand we do not get the result and we start to doubt? Then what do we do? Let me quote and authentic Hadith. Understand the hadith; If you pray to Allah, Allah will answer you and these are the answers that you might get. 1. Allah may give something directly. 2. Allah keeps away calamity which is for example you ask to be cure of your fever, but it does not get cured immediately. Know that Allah might have given you the answer in terms of not getting worse than that. 3. You are being rewarded everytime you dua whether granted for it or not. Therefore, if you do not get in this dunya, Allah will give it in the akhirat. Conditions of a Ruqyah; Conditions of ruqyah: 1. It must be done using the names of Allah and His attributes. 2. In arabic or a language understood by the reciter and the recited. ( in case of distrust ) 3. That both and everyone present must believe that ruqyah is a cure and it is not the reciter or anyone who cured you or anything who cure you but only Allah. Cc: doctors 4. It bringa you closer to Allah Theres another one but I forgot. Example of simple Ruqyah; Read ayat qursi before sleeping. Dua before or after actions such as waking up. Reading bismillah before entering your house. Now. There is such people called a Ruqi which can help reqd Ruqyah for you. And they may charge you and I will explain later about the charging in a hadith below. But remember it must fulfill the conditions od ruqyah. If you go see a Ustaz ot something that wants you to do weird things, than beware. Because ruqyah is not done in its essence other than reciting the words of Allah or the prophet. No need to take of your shirt of burn incense or give egg. That extra stuff can lead to syirik. Because in an authentic hadith, the prophet Muhammad SAW said Those who wear a talisman are bound to depend on it and if you depend on another besides Allah, than you are in danger of syirik. Coming back to a ruqi. He or she can read the ruqyah for you but it is better, that if you know how to learn the ruqyah yourself. Not only will you learn and be closer to Allah and protect and be able to cure yourself, you also save money. Now, last part. Just to clarify why a Ruqi is allowed to charge although he only did a service of reading the words of Allah or the prophet. It is narrated in an authentic hadith about a sahabat named Abu Said al-Qudri. He was on his way back to Madinah where he stopped at a village. Now arabs are hospitable people. So Abu Said asked if he could rest there for the night. Unfortunately they said no so Abu Said and his companion stayed at the outskirts of the village. Later that night, someone came asking to Abu Said if he could recite the ruqyah because the leader of the village is sick after bitten by a scorpion. Abu Said said why should he after he was not allowed to stay in the village. But then he said, he would do it if they would pay him 30 sheeps (some say 100). He agreed to that and Abu Said went to recite the Ruqyah. After only just finishing Surah fatihah, the leader was cured as if nothing ever happened. After that Abu Said and hia companion contemplated what to do with the sheep since he did not know if its halal or haram because he charged for the ruqyah. After arriving in Madinah, Abu Said asked the prophet and told him the story. After saying that he recited surah fatihah as a ruqyah, the prophet was shocked. Because he was shocked at how did Abu Said knew that Surah fatihah is a ruqyah? MasyaAllah. Then Abu Said tols the prophet about the sheep. Then the prophet said, Good. Maybe you could even share with me some of the sheep? Now, a little bit of explanation. Rasulullah approved and tells us that one of the ruqyah is Surah fatihah. And it is permissible to charge for the ruqyah service as he himself wants share of the sheep given for the service to prove that its halal. Now, a reminder, a ruqi can charge an amount the permissible amount is an amount that would not burden the brother/sister youre trying to help and is definitely not the reason you help. If only because of money, than the money is the reason and not Allah thus less conviction. There are still a lot of stuff about ruqyah but if you want, ask and Ill tell. Post becoming to long. :) May Allah protects us and brings us closer to Him. :)
