Dallas Comic Con--I was there on Saturday getting our last signature on our Serenity poster, Nathan Fillion. We took the DART and got there in time and got our wristbands and no program. We got into the Exhibit Hall and had no idea where to go for autographs. I found a program in the recycle bin and used that to find the autograph area. I raced over to Nathans line and got a blue ticket numbered 503. His line had 1-100. Okay, Ive been to these shows since 2001, I thought Ill just kill some time. Got a few autographs that I wasnt planning on but figured what the hell Im here. I walked around the con for an hour and a half and came back to check on Nathans line. It was 1-200. Walked around some more and went back to check. 1-250. I finally sat down some place with my wife and nephew and went to check back. Surprisingly it was 1-500. But then I heard from the volunteers that he was doing two back to back photo ops and then a lunch so he wouldnt be back until 5 and would only sign for a hour. I was 503 so I was taking a chance waiting outside the queue as it began to fill up with people who had tickets 1-500. I was getting discouraged. Hoping something would happen, since I couldnt be there on Sunday due to work and my wife couldnt be there to drop her nephew off back in Waco. So I talked to the volunteer again as the queue finished filling up and that the limit was number 500. It is the first time in the history of going to these shows and leaving the con without getting the autograph I came for. With the bad taste of Irving Convention Center still in our minds, I was giving the new owners, Mark, and Ben one last chance. So Im glad those who had a great time did and for those who had a bad time...I feel your pain
