Dame Kidus lecture at JCU, Cairns was the first of a series of lectures about Australia/Australians partnering with PNG. As a long-term resident of Cairns, it was interesting to hear of partnerships from the perspective of a PNG woman of Australian heritage, having graced the hall of power in PNG and through her tenure gaining accolades and respect in PNG and abroad. We salute you and your resolve to walk the path women fear to tread. We salute you for being a ambassador for PNG. Next month I present the next lecture of the series. It will be like swapping places with the Dame. I have lived most of my working life in Australia. Rather than fly the Australian Flag, I still fly the PNG flag and still advocate for fairer and human partnership between the two nations not from the halls of power but in the business and academic circles of Cairn. When I present at JCU, it will be about Manus - Hell Hole Hell No - Misrepresented Absolutely. 17th April 2014. JCU Cairns.
