Dan Bosch Oct 2nd, 7:00am There was an article with excerpts of an interview with me in the newspaper today... i just wanted to say for all the locals that read it a couple of my quotes werent in the exact context.. most of it is ok, but the two i want to make sure arent taken that way though are: the article quotes me as saying it used to be a lot bigger town. what i was saying originally was there used to be more businesses, more restaurants, multiple parts houses, a bakery, four places to buy groceries, three gas stations and many more small retail stores, even a dry cleaners and a greyhound bus stop..... many stores that i can remember are now parking lots for the businesses that are here today, the buildings arent even there anymore, like where carousel fabrics USED to be, where now it is the shop smart parking lot. Or the small boutique type store that used to be between the red garter and the treehouse florist... there was a walk in theatre, an arcade, a swimming pool, two laundromats, book stores and other stores too!! that is what i was saying in the interview... the second thing is about valley pride... not that we dont all have it!! i was saying we just need to make sure to display it more when we are out of the valley, we need to make sure that the other communities around like in the rogue valley and such know we are proud of being blessed to live here... as sometimes i dont think that outsiders have a good view of the area.... if you read this thank you for time!! i would really appreciate a vote for me in november if you are eligible to vote in the city council election, and of course, good luck and best wishes to Lindsey Gillete as she seems like she is a very community minded person as well.. Thank you again!! If you could post this on your facebook page for me i would be really appreciative as without the proper context the story makes me look really really silly....... I already have it posted on a couple of pages but i would really appreciate your help alleviating my worries as to the articulation of my quotes. (which were mis quoted, un articulated, AND out of context) thank you!!!
