Daniel 8, The vision of the ram and the goat. To be quite honest I am beginning to believe that Daniels visions were never really meant for our understanding. Daniel receives and interpretation of his own vision and still at the end of the vision even he admits not being able to understand it. What I took from it is that no matter how mighty the kings and their kingdoms become, there is coming one day a simple man that will crush these corrupt and deceitful kings and will establish His kingdom. It is very easy for man to use his cunning and deceitfulness to gain favor in society. For some people that is more important than favor with God. Probably because death and eternity for some are not examined until they are starring it in the face. I personal will not wait that long. My place in eternity is set and I put such value on it that nothing this world has to offer will trump that. My prayer is that you will consider your eternity and its worth.
