Daron, just for you and to illustrate my point,,,, here a handsome, single,available youngish martial-artist who does not like or practice the so called sport martial arts takes down a notorious thai criminal and some of his gang members.The hero can be seen disarming a wannabe hit man ( what sport martial-art teaches disarms?), biting part of an ear off,head butting, ripping ,etc,( does judo,juts,MMA teach, allow for, consider such things?),,,perhaps he should ignored the gun ( pointed in direction of school) and gone for an arm bar!!! He credits his success to reality based arts and shaolin ( for ability to keep going with controlled breathing- this subject is almost unheard of in sports martial-arts) and his great mentors.
