Darts is the game of choice At Dubbo Sportsworld, darts is proving to be the flavour of the month with players of all ages. Competition wrapped up last Thursday, August 8, after five weeks of hotly-contested games between the 13 competitors. Play was split into three divisions, with division one featuring a top prize of $100. In game one, the major semi was played between Tom and Graeme. Tom emerged as the winner, which earned him a place in the grand final, while Graeme took his place in the preliminary final against Geramy. Geramy had defeated Colin in the minor semi final and a further win against Graeme took him to the grand final. Tom put up a fight but Geramy was the overall winner on the night, taking home the spot. In Division 2, Gary emerged as the victor after defeating Roseanne in the minor semi and Greg in the preliminary final. Daniel defeated Greg in the major semi but it was Gary who eventually claimed the $50 prizemoney. Division 3 was a contest won by Sue, who received $25 for her efforts. She defeated Clayton in the major semi, to earn herself a place in the grand final, while Clayton went on to play Mick, the winner of the minor semi against Corey. Darts has been a very successful contest between the various players, who are enjoying the friendly and competitive atmosphere of Dubbo Sportsworld.
