Date: 18 September 2014 SASCO GEORGE BRANCH: STATEMENT OF APPRECIATION PROFOUND REVOLUTIONARY GREETINGS On the 17th September 2014, the SASCO BEC saw the students of the George Campus going to cast their votes for the Student Governance Elections, Student Council and House Committee 2015.After a long journey of canvassing, the young lions of the biggest student organization in Africa have roared so loud that they have awakened those that were sleepy .We further welcome the outcome results of yesterday even though we wish to have gotten a higher number. However, it is quite evident that the students of this campus still have trust, faith and confidence in the elected leadership and SASCO as an organization at large as this was reaffirmed yesterday. The were 323 voters, 5 of which were spoilt and SASCO managed to secure 211 votes, this wonderful victory has ensured us of a FULLY SASCO LED STUDENT COUNCIL 2015 next year. This has proved to us that indeed students still see SASCO as an agent of ACCESS and SUCCESS; students still see SASCO as their beacon of HOPE and have reminded us that indeed, we are still the relevant pillar of strength for many students in institutes of higher learning. We express our extended gratitude to all those 211 students who trusted us once more to push forward the agendas of students and championing all issues that seem to hamper conducive learning for all. We assure you that SASCO and the elected leadership, shall continue listening to your cries and shall forever respond with nothing but positive results. We urge you to stand with SASCO against all odd, defy over and over again all external forces that may want to break the movement and trust that in all struggles victory shall be certain, no matter how long it takes, we shall rejoice in the end. Through unity, there is so much that we can still achieve and SASCO shall continue serving the STUDENT BODY selflessly into transforming this campus to greater heights that we all envision. We wish to thank the honorable leadership of the ANCYL Southern Cape Region for their immense support they have shown to us, we highly appreciate your assistance and words can never fully express how much you have impacted on us. It is out of such bonds that we as the SASCO Branch George support a man who has been like a father to us, our mentor Comrade Chairperson of the ANYCL Southern Cape Region, Sifiso ‘’ Tso’’ Mtsweni going to congress for the position of DSG. Comrade you have shown great growth in this journey, and what makes it more interesting is that you have built others to tread on your footsteps, that is what good leaders do, enrich themselves to inspire others. In you we fully trust, as a product of SASCO we believe that your contribution at a higher level will impact greatly once more where you come from, Comrade TSO ….#Relax Mchana SASCO has your back just like you have had ours. NOTICES On the 19th September (FRIDAY) we will be having a SASCO BIRTHDAY BASH at CLUB LeTrax at 20:00pm, celebrating 10years SASCO has been at GEORGE Campus and winning the elections. We trust SASCO comrades will come in numbers, TRANSPORT will be provided and ENTRANCE FEE will be free as well. COMRADES WE URGE YOU TO ONCE AGAIN SUPPORT AND COME CELEBRATE THIS GREAT VICTORY WITH US together with SOUTH CAPE COLLEGE SASCO COMRADES. On the 20th September (Saturday) , we will have a SIYANQOBA RALLY (VICTORY RALL) at the Lecture Theatre at 16:00pm, note that distribution of T-SHIRTS FOR SASCO members will also be done at this rally. It shall be noted that we will distribute T-SHIRTS UPTO 211 PEOPLE- whom we have gotten affirmation that those are the same comrades who VOTED SASCO.
