Date of occurrence: June 16, 2013 Case Synopsis: The male victim was attending a church service at the St. James Catholic Church at 495 North Harrison Blvd in Ogden Sunday afternoon. He was shot in the back of the head. The victim was transported to McKay Dee Hospital in critical yet stable condition. This was not a random act of violence. The suspect was specific in the desired target and action. No other parishioners were injured, during the altercation. The suspect was identified as Charles Richard Jennings Jr. d.o.b. 9-2-1977. Charles stole a truck and ran out of gas around mile marker 32 on I-84. He was located in the area and taken into custody without incident. Thanks to all Northern Utah Law Enforcement that assisted in trying to locate the suspect, especially Box Elder County Sheriff’s Deputies and Utah Highway Patrol Troopers.
