Dave Murrays Latest STL forecast and weather disco…THE WEEKEND...December 27-28, 2014: ***Periods of rain on tap for Saturday...turning colder...quiet times and chilly to cold on Sunday...back to average cold...with a release of Arctic air on the way...starting Tuesday of next week *** SATURDAY: Clouds...slowly dropping temperatures with periods of rain...not raining all the time...but a gloomy day WINDS: Northwest 5-15 M.P.H. HIGH: 48 degrees...dropping much of the afternoon SATURDAY NIGHT: Rain(some wet flakes) early then slow clearing and colder WINDS: Northwest 5-15 M.P.H. LOW: 30 DEGREES. SUNDAY: Partly sunny and typical December cold WINDS: Northwest 5-15 M.P.H. HIGH: 38 degrees Quiet weather...Monday...clouds Tuesday as the colder air from the arctic moves in THE WEATHER DISCO: A double low pressure in play for Saturday...not a big rain maker...but look for periods of rain with some breaks from time to time. The system will bring back colder temperatures...back to where we should be this time of year... resulting in the warmest part of the day...in the morning with dropping temperatures in the afternoon..a slow drop. Quiet Sunday and Monday... Tuesday a strong but rather dry front will push by...this is the leading edge of the new release of arctic air...digging in on Tuesday...well below average temperatures...day and night...Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. In the longer term...a large low pressure will develop over the southwest part of the nation...and this will in time pull to the east...these things are very slow to pull out...so exact timing is tough right now...but should start Friday and Saturday of next week...and with the cold air in place... the core moisture would appear to be snow at this point...a long way off and miles to go before we sleep.
