David Gerrold: The Nazis big mistake was not understanding that Passover is about the escape from slavery and oppression. Its absolutely the wrong time of year to piss off Jews. ¶ Of course, theres no good time of year to piss off Jews. Weve survived thousands of years of oppression. Were still here. Pharaoh is gone, the Tsars are gone, Hitler is gone. Were still here. This is a lesson that tyrants never learn. They will disappear, their victims will not only survive, they will get stronger -- and theyll remember. And theyll promise, Never again.
