David Gilmore said that Richard Wright was the backbone of Pink Floyd music. From beginning to end on The Endless River they make it in your face apparent. You could hear many family riffs and passages throughout and piqued your interest. Polly Samson, writer and wife of David Gilmore, co-wrote the only appearance of lyrics in Louder Than Words. Id like to know if the song is about the friendship of David and Richard or possibly about David and Molly. Either way I enjoyed the song. And I enjoyed listening to Richard for the last time. It isnt an album I will listen to often but I will revisit every now and again and feel the loss of a nearly lifelong relationship with Pink Floyd. I wish their last album could have been planned instead of lifting studio tracks, but the tribute is fitting.
