I particularly like Davids view on the experience as I can say that I never felt like the medicine took me anywhere except within myself. They were interior journeys. It was the most healing and profound undertaking Ive ever experienced. I like to say that the medicine introduces one to oneself. It peels away the veil of the ego. There is an extremely high intelligence in nature which the plant medicine allows one to tap into but it is an ordeal. It is very challenging. It has shown me my innermost light, but first, it had to show me my innermost darkness. You must walk through the darkness of the shadow to reach the self and Ayahuasca facilitated that for me and many others. It can heal deeply ingrained trauma. I put it this way: the pineal gland is the door to the temple within, and the neurotransmitter DMT is the key to the lock!
