David just commented on The Independent: No matter how much taxs the government takes from its citizens, there will never be enough to take care of those that want it. Immigration and open borders will be the death of US and UK if the politicians do not get their heads out of their a**s, the next revolution will be between the people that want to keep what they worked for and the ones that want to take it. This was my reply: In the last decade, citizens here from other EU countries have made a net contribution - NET - to government funds of about £22 billion. This country would be poorer without EU migrants. They are helping to pay off our national debt. They are helping to pay for our pensions (as well as helping to look after our pensioners). Whats more, if all the citizens from other EU countries living here went home, and all Britons living in other EU countries came home, the population of the UK would be about the same as it is now. You couldnt get a better, natural balance or control of EU migration / immigration. The fact is that free movement of people is a concept that works and it works both ways. Britons make fuller use of free movement across Europe than any other EU nationality. There are more Britons living in Spain than Polish living in Britain. And last year, there were more Britons claiming unemployment benefit in Germany than Polish claiming it in the UK. Why not join in the discussion with me? Staying silent achieves nothing. independent.co.uk/news/world/uk-edges-closer-to-eu-exit-as-cameron-crushed-in-bid-to-block-jeanclaude-junckers-leadership-9568749.html
