Dawn Parker Waites posted: Carolee Krieger, Executive Director of the California Water Impact Network (C-WIN), responded to the plans release by stating, The state should focus on conservation, recycling and developing local water sources and should abandon the plan to build the tunnels. The tunnels will be a stranded resource without water to put in them. There is five times the water promised to water users for every drop that is available. There is no new water for the tunnels. And I just want to give a huge thank you to Dan Bacher who has been the one person shedding light on the water policies for the citizens of California so we can all understand beyond the spin.
