Day 13: How Caleb Has Enriched My Life Our journey with Down syndrome has given us the chance to see life through our son’s perspective. If you were to ask him how his life is, he will tell you it’s amazing! One dreams of having the perfect child…the one with top academic honors, the top school athlete, and the one person who can instantly make a friend by simply smiling and saying hello. You never dream it would be your child who was diagnosed with Down syndrome, until you watch him interact with the world and you realize he IS the perfect child. Every opportunity presented to him is met with confidence and joy, and the lessons we learn as we watch his accomplishments, make us grateful that we are able to tag along and enjoy the journey with him. ~ Karen Pokora #DSAM2014 Editors note: Caleb was crowned Homecoming King, when Karen submitted the photos, I could not decide which one to share because the one with the guys is too fun not to share!
