Day 13. Well, again, not what I want to report. When I left the hospital a bit ago, Jims left leg is now very swollen up as well. He is not keeping it straight like the doctor keeps telling him to, and it has me worried. I think it has the doctor worried too. He is fearful it will begin to contract, and that he wont be able to straighten it out. He is to have another MRI on his brain tomorrow. His diet has also been changed again, they are trying to keep his kidney function up; dark liquids are to be eliminated as of this morning. They are harder on the kidneys is what the nurses told me. I am praying that this isnt leading to kidney failure as well. We still do not know more about the biopsy done on the bone Friday morning. I guess the doctors are going to come in tomorrow to talk to me instead of today. Humana has rejected the claim for the floor Jim is on. It is called L-tac, and apparently it is tough to get Humana to pay for it. I dont know what they expect. Really. I dont. I cant possibly provide the care that Jim needs right now at home. Hefty doses of IV antibiotics, IV pain medicine on top of all his other medicine. He is not able to stand at all. He is very lethargic sometimes, others, just as clear as a bell. Catheter in, Many things that I am not skilled to do. So if Humana doesnt pay the bill, (weeks- could be extended into months, according to one doctor yesterday), what do we do? I have no idea right now. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. I am going to be listing some glass on Etsy tonight, just a fair warning. I hope youll find it at the very least pretty, and/or interesting. I hope youll buy some of it. I need help paying for these motel bills, gas, food. I purchased some microwave dinners yesterday to cook in the microwave here in the motel to save money, the only problem with that is that they are supposed to stay frozen. This refrigerator doesnt have a freezer. So....... Anyway, thats tonights updates. Please continue to pray for our family.
