Day 2 of construction on the shelter room for the outdoor cats. Today the used Restore window went in, the electric was run to the light, switch, plugs and wall heater, the insulation is 95% done and the inside whiteboard walls are started. Even though Duane is disturbing us a lot with his loud tools and the mess in the garage, we still felt bad for him when he was outside cutting the hole for the window and putting it in. It was very windy, rainy and cold. We even got hail and wet snow. Thanks so much Duane, we love the window! Tomorrow all the major work should be done and then Joan can move all our stuff in and make the room comfortable for us. We can’t wait to have this amazing warm space to spend these cold days and nights. While Duane finishes up the room tomorrow, Joan and Mike are going to start working on the barn and outdoor shelters. Don’t worry about the feral cats, they are ok in the meantime. They have plastic bin shelters with lots of straw, and will be able to move into their new wood, insulated, shelters before the bitter cold comes. Our humans are worn out again from a long day working outside in the cold and rain, so we’re going to say good night for now and let them relax and have an early night. Have a great evening everyone.
