Day 23 of healthy eating and almost daily exercise. I LOVE STRENGTH TRAINING. Lifting weights kicks ass. Know what else I LOVE? The look of utter confusion on peoples faces when I say Oh, Im not working out to LOSE WEIGHT...Im doing it to get stronger and be able to do the things I want to do with ease. Part of me is a sick puppy that wants to mess with people, but the statement is true. When I interviewed my personal trainer before handing him virtually every penny I had, I said I dont give a shit if I dont lose a pound in this process. I was adamant about not weighing myself for at least 6 months (more likely never). People just dont understand that I started learning to love myself at 320 pounds. They look at me with horror. I had to start someplace. Today, I dont care WHAT I weigh, I am always 1000% deserving of my own love and respect. Doesnt matter what I ate, what I just said to someone, or how I feel any given day. I ALWAYS DESERVE MY OWN RESPONSIVENESS, COMPASSION AND CARE. ALWAYS. Its not something that I had to earn; I just needed to realize it. i love educating other people about it. I love saying there is nothing wrong with me out loud. I LOVE this life that Im creating for myself. The weight loss is just a plus. Yesterday, I fit into a pair of pants I bought eons ago (on sale, too small.... NO one else has ever done that, right?) And I ROCKED those $10 pants. My body is changing. Y know what ELSE happened to me yesterday? I got a bit of a promotion. You guys have heard me talk about the Pleasure Principles course.... well, there is a private FB page for support. Last night Kelly Coffey called me, and it felt like getting a call from Oprah. It was an awesome conversation. I really have the BEST support system known to man, and I am uber friggin grateful for every person cheering me on.
