Day 24, building up to the big hypocrital feast on the 28th.. Finally, something more or less accurate.. never heard before that Geroge Washington limited Thankssgiving feasts, yes, folks, as celebrations of the massacre of Indians, to once a year. Ive never been entirely comfortable with this holiday, now I know why. Perhaps this is what I will use this year to teach my immigrating students about the holiday.. of course, they will never be the same if I do, then again, they already have plenty of clues re this, esp if from Central or South America, or if Arabic, African, Central Asia, Muslim.. Because history still is repeating itself, simply in different lands and in slightly different ways...
