Day +26: Today was a good day. Sam has been feeling better bit by bit until today. This evening was the open house at school and while Ava was SO excited Sam was a little bummed out when we left, but we changed his PICC line bandage and it looked great today so with a new waterproof bandage he was good to go in the pool. This solved everything! Im so thankful it finally warmed up enough to swim AND he exerted more energy and ate a little better tonight! Wins all around tonight! I appreciate St. Peter School so much. So many stopped me to ask how he was doing, it meant a lot. He wasnt out of sight out of mind. Mrs. Markway even has a desk already set up for him for when his 100 days are over... This simple gesture gave me a lot of relief, thank you Mrs. Markway! Here are some pictures of Ava with Nick and Ryan... Nick is one of Sams best buddies and Ryan one of Avas (so cute, I think they have mutual crushes;) Overall, a great evening. Today I heard that two of our friends at the hospital had spots show up on their scans, both just finished initial protocols and are still in the post treatment relief, only to hear there is something not knowing what yet. Please join me in prayer for JJ and Juls. God Bless these kids and please pray they do not have to find out what relapse looks like. No person, especially child, deserves any of this.
