Day 3 -The Grande Finale What an awesome day! Saturday - an all access pass day , saw hundreds of children and their families enjoy the spectacular performances of Fred Penner, ( an icon of childrens entertainment) Ache Brasil - a colourful energetic display of a cultural African drum team truly entertained us all. Kaput (from Australia) enthralled us with his silent picture performance -keeping his young audience laughing with his antics . Monster Theatre , who are not monsters at all, but a wonderful duo who charmed and entertained and kept the audience in stitches with their comedic performance. Le Groupe Swinge, a French Canadian band, presented a most entertaining cultural experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by young and old alike. The children were dancing and singing in both French and English and left the performance with truly an amazing cultural experience. Along with our main stage performances, we were astounded by the acrobatic performances from Circus west. The aerial performances and juggling expertise along with A mesmerizing balancing act from the many talented artists from circus west was incredible. The very talented and energetic performance from the beautiful Jacquie Esombee was a highlight of the open stage performances, the grandeur and elegance of Jacquie and her team as she performed cultural dances and musical mystique inspired all in the audience to participate along with her. The Supercooligans were super cool, and truly entertaining for the kids, the superhero theme is always a delight for the kids. And speaking of super heroes Jake Evans and his Jedi troupe of local children mesmerized us with their break dance performance and athleticism that was astounding. Throughout the weekend we were also entertained by the beautiful and elegant ladies of Get Bent, their graceful belly dance performances was certainly a delight to watch. Saturday also gave us the opportunity to enjoy the musical talents of the young but talented Fiddle kids and also the athleticism and synchronicity of the gymnastic talents of the Fit Kid gymnastic troupe. In the marina way park The younger crowd 2-6 enjoyed the colourful adventures on Angelas Nylon zoo, and the giant nylon dragon and many fun activities for our little people Along with the hands on artist tents, musical play, and Eco awareness tents, and off course our amazing stilt rovers and clowns , the children and the families who attended the OKANAGAN International childrens Festival were truly entertained, educated and engaged in an awe inspiring weekend. Thank you to our many many volunteers who made this years festival an such a success. Without you it could not happen. See you next year!
