Yesterday, Victoria called me crying from VU. She was so upset - TopicsExpress

Yesterday, Victoria called me crying from VU. She was so upset that her tutor had to talk to me. There had been some confusion about tutoring. The battle didnt get resolved yesterday. The office stated that Victoria had missed her tutoring sessions last week and they were dropping her from the program. The lady in charge would not speak to me on the phone, but made an appointment for Victoria to come back today to talk about it. (Victoria did go to her rescheduled time last week). Today, Victoria met with the lady in charge, by herself (I could not leave work and Brantly was in class). The lady told Victoria over 20 times that she did not attend tutoring last week. Each time, Victoria replied, Yes, I did. Yes, I did! The lady said, we looked for you. you were not here. Each time Victoria tried to explain to her that the original time was rescheduled. The lady kept insisting that Victoria was not there at the scheduled time. Victoria strongly kept saying she was. The lady finally excused herself from the meeting. Over 5 minutes later she returned and in a nervous voice, said that she had fixed the problem and she could start back at tutoring tomorrow. She also said that Victoria never missed last year so she should have known Victoria would not miss this year. She ended by saying sorry for all the problems. I am very thankful that Victoria is finally fighting her own battles. I would like to take the credit, but the truth is that she is reading her bible daily (unlike her mother) and she is finding a new strength and understanding.
