Day 3 is an easy one. I am adding a digestive tea after my lunch and dinner to aid digestion. Going into the winter months I want my digestive system to be in top shape. Peppermint, fennel and ginger are 3 of my favourite digestive teas. Peppermint soothes the stomach, promotes digestion & reduces heartburn. It can even help reduce stress levels : ) Fennel tastes like anise. Drink it to reduce flatulence, bloating, indigestion and overall soothes the stomach. It can be a uterine stimulant so pregnant women should not drink this tea. Ginger is a wonderful after dinner tea. It can ease indigestion, reduce gas, bloating, flatulence and is fantastic if a person is not feeling well. I always use the root when making this tea but it can be purchased in a tea bag. Ginger increases circulation so dont be surprised if you feel warm and fuzzy all over if you consume this tea. Tomorrow I am going to have peppermint tea after my lunch and after my dinner Im going to have ginger tea with a little bit of honey : ) Day 1 - lemon water in room temp water in the morning, 8-10 glasses throughout the day. Day 2 - Superfood salad Day 3 - Digestive teas Remember to limit/eliminate the processed foods, high calorie drinks, sneaky snackies and always choose whats best for your body! Cheers to day 3!
