Day 3 of the doll challenge that i was graciously invited to participate by Olga Huraira Ayala. Today I have to share Maria La Cantinera again because I had to introduce you to her boyfriend, Pepe el Mariachi Borracho. They are both fully articulated, made out of polymer clay. They are hand painted and I designed and made their clothes and hair. I even made his mariachi hat out of paper mache because I couldnt find one the right size. The second photo is of one of my first Frida dolls. She is my first cloth Frida Doll. I used a painting that I had done, scanned it & printed out onto fabric. I sewed the face to a hand sewn body and created the hair with yarn. I also designed and made all her clothes. The third photo shows my Frida Fantasy. I pictured what Frida would have looked like as a mother. She is in her studio working and her little girl runs in to be consoled. She and her daughter are made completely of polymer clay and hand painted. the background is hand painted onto paper and individually cut. The whole piece measures about 4 by 4...yes its very leetle :) I love miniatures :) Today I invite G Billie Quijano to this challenge. I own two of her dolls and they are some of my favorite things. She puts a lot of love into everything she does and it shows. Love you Billie :)
