Day 30 – I am thankful for the rich life I have lead thus far, I have had the great pleasure of listening to humpback whales sign and wolves howl. Seen eagles fly and swim, swam with sea turtles, octopus, sharks, rays and whale sharks, kayaked with Killer whales, sea otters, harbor seals and Dall’s Porpoise, been chased by a moose, seen black and brown bear, grey whales, minke whales, coatimundi, manatee, alligators, crocodiles, beavers and many other animals in their natural habitat, wild and free. I have dipped my toes in in the Atlantic, and Pacific oceans, the Seas of Cortez, Tasmanian, Mediterranean, Caribbean and Adriatic, the Gulf of Mexico, Puget Sound, Panama Cannel, Straits of Juan de Fuca, and Johnston as well as dozens of Lakes and hundreds of rivers and streams. I have herded horses and cows, ridden well over 100 different horses- bareback, western, English, dressage, jumping and driving, been nationally ranked in carriage driving with both my pony and my horse, and been there for the birth of 2 of my horses. Bottle feed, calves, horses, tigers, birds, house cats and human babies. I have witnessed the indescribable beauty of National and State Parks like Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Yosemite, Bryce, Grand and Zion Canyons, the Redwoods, Crater Lake , Mountains-Hood, St. Helens, Rainer, Baker, Caddo Lake and the Hoe Rainforest .I have watched clouds pass below me while standing on mountains, seen tornados, forest fires, smoldering volcanos, avalanches, sand storms, guessers and glaciers. I have wondered the streets of Paris, and Venice, seeing many amazing churches that truly show devotion to faith in their construction, and seen many masterpieces in their museums. I have toured film locations of Lord of the Rings in New Zealand (it is the land that time forgot), stayed in a hut on the beach in Moorea (I know why Gauguin did not want to leave French Polynesia), Been through Anasazi dwellings, and mediaeval castles, traveled the Panama Cannel (I am, still marveling at the fact that you go through 3 locks on the Atlantic side but only 2 on the Pacific???) I have seen my art work on book covers, in churches, in the Dallas Zoo, in cemeteries to mark the resting place of loved ones, in front of a subdivision, in houses, businesses and schools. I have watched my incredible nephews and god daughters; Tyler, Hayden Collin, Harrison, Katharine, Victoria and Elizabeth grow into the wonderful young people they have become. Taught hundreds of children art and dozens of children to ride horses, they have all touched my life in so many ways and a good number of them have chosen art as their livelihood, which is immensely gratifying. I have ridden in a helicopter, flown my cousins plane, been on boats ranging from cruise ships to jet skis, vehicles ranging from Motor homes to motorcycles, and ATVs, sailed on sailboats ,catamaran and wind surfers , driven- sulkies , carts , carriages and buck boards , ridden ponies to draft horses. I thank Good each and every day for all He has shown me and given me the opportunity to experience, the Lord God Made it All.
