Day 4 - Busch Gardens and and unexpected stop at Walmart! Today Laura, woke me up at 5.10am, so its getting later every day. She wasnt aware that she woke me up but she shouted out chill in her sleep.....too much Frozen yesterday I think. Gave me chance to catch up on FB and was once again chuffed with all the responses to previous posts. All up naturally with no nudges, noises or help from myself. Down for early breakfast, unfortunately no celery available! So after my bacon, egg and toasted bread chunks we got in the Kia Sorento, not Sportarge as previously stated, and headed for Busch Gardens!!! The I4 was fine but got a bit lost on I75! Then decided to switch on the sat nav once we had no idea where we were!!! Got to BG at 10.10am and exchanged our Seaworld/Busch vouchers for tickets. Entered the park and went straight to Cheetah Hunt with a 40 min wait. Actually took just under, a great coaster but as the ride came to an end, Jos back gave way and she limped away from the ride 😔 Jo has suffered with her back recently but it still came as a bit of a shock. We bought some painkillers from a stall and shuffled off to Montu. This time I felt sick so Jo and I ditched out and retired to the BG Retirement cottage, aka, Starbucks for Celery sticks, but alas, were none existent, so settled for Strawberry Frapachinos and a cake. Laura and Tom went off to do more rides. Jo and I had a walk round, after an hours rest. Now BG is a nice park but seems always really hot, there seems no breeze at all and there are very little places to get away from the sun. We actually then found them coming off Sheikra. Jo and I joined Laura whilst Tom had a chill and catch up with his mates back home via the 3 network Friends at Home. Proud of Tom for doing this ride cause its a daunting when you are up there in the clouds. Another walk round, but no more rides as they shut the bigger coasters due to a storm front coming in. We decided to visit the various animal areas around the park before leaving at 3pm. Our mission then was a drive to Mannys Chophouse. Got there around 4.10pm and was shown to a table by Dave! Lovely chap, and quite frankly he had me at hello! (Another film quote?) meal was gorgeous. I insisted on no starters, so we had unlimited salad, bread rolls, mozzarella sticks and potato skins!!!!! Then main course followed......OMG, bill was $91 and all was fantastic. Struggled to the car and stopped off at Walmart. Was there over an hour.....another $200, on back pain pills, watches, drinks, clothes, heartburn remedies and celery sticks.....no, thats a lie😉 Followed an appropriately signed lorry, sorry, truck, on the way back and got back at 8pm. Tom and I had a fight in the hotel pool and decided on an early night. Knackered ! TTFN, Paul xxx BTW, Mannys Defo worth a trip, great food and friendly atmosphere. Huge meals and great value.
