Day 5 I was at the grocery store today and ran into an old family friend. While we were talking he told me that his wife had just had surgery on both of her feet and was flat down in bed. He said to me a guy should be able to open a can of soup and heat it should they. I asked whey he was eating canned soup and he said my wife is down so I have to fix dinner. I told him I was throwing together a big pot of soup and I asked him if I could bring dinner in around 4:30. At first he hesitated but I was persistent so he finally gave in. My mother and little sister cut up potatoes for peas and potato soup and mother had some pumpkin pie do at 4:30 we delivered dinner. I thought I was so smart and knew where they lived but when we arrived at the house no one would answer the door so I called my older brother Bob and he contacted their son who said he would come by and meet us. As I saw their son come around the corner and turn into a different driveway down the street we realized we had been knocking on the wrong door the entire time. Boy did I feel silly because I thought I was so smart and knew where they lived. So we got back in the car and drove to the next house and delivered the food. What a great day for a small act of service!
