Day 5, Nagoya - Met Taka during breakfast and exchanged opinions on yesterdays event. Then found out that the WCS contestants will be going to Osu by bus today with costumes and all. Figured that it will only be a WCS activity again since its not indicated in my schedule, so I planned my own tour as usual. Went down to the lobby and was surprised to see that they are some WKG contestants are going too. I guess they were either invited by the commitee members, or by their countrys WCS rep/assistant. How lucky...^^;; I dont want to rant, but I guess I need to let it out somehow. I know WCS have been around for 12 years and WKG is just 2 years old, maybe thats why there are no organization from Malaysia is willing to handle reps for the country. I really hope this will change soon, that the future Malaysia rep for WKG will be treated better by their own country, if not equally as WCS rep. I mean since we are also representing Malaysia in singing AND cosplay, I think its better to have at least a contact person which can assist the rep just like how WCS rep have a manager. The fact that WKG have to pay for their own flight ticket maybe something that cant be help...also the fact that there were less sponsored activities compared to WCS since WKG is still considered a small extension event. But the most important thing is to have a contact person where the rep can refer to in case of emergency. In my opinion, we should send the best rep for a world class event like this, and the best next time might be young students that will have difficulty finding individuals to follow them to Japan, or to travel alone. It would be great if an acg organization can take WKG as one of their project and support the rep, just like some other countries do. These is not rants due to my own dissapointment, because I am fully aware that I am here alone and I am capable to take care of myself. I just hope this will reach someone who can do something so that the future rep will have a better, more fun experience when they are here to sing and cosplay for the country :) Ok enough of that XD Today I spent 5 hours in Nagoya Science Museum and Planetarium. Its so cool! Theres Dragon Ball Exhibition held there too, I am lucky yay! XD Lots of science educational activities in there. The one I enjoyed the most is the mini tornado display, its like magic.
