Day 7/7 of challenge was actually yesterday but I forgot. Super long winded. 1. Im grateful for my puppy dog Fridaxo for being so sweet and calming down as she grows up and being so eager to listen and do good. And for her being so protective. 2. Im grateful for this swing in my backyard of this home Ive been in since Ive been 22. That has been a roof over my head and allowed me to raise my family here thru good times and bad, happiness, sadness, love, disputes, holidays and everyday. Birthdays, graduations, baby showers for me and for my daughter. 22yrs ago I wanted a swing to come sit back here in. But it was too frivolous of an expense for myself when there were always more pending issues requiring my money and time. My last birthday, my 45th birthday, I got the swing I wanted. I secretly always hoped would be a gift. ♡ Rae Moreno ♡ I come out here in the mornings and evenings and escape and daydream and look around and up. I slow down and reflect and look forward. I play back moments of my kids, like how my son would do things for his lil sisters like help them pick grapes or drive the Bigfoot or theyd play with the chickens. Or I think of nothing but the breeze and meditate then get an idea and head back in on a mission. 3. Im grateful for awesome neighbors that have always been tolerant of me as a young neighbor and kind, supportive and have always cheered me on. My yard has often been the most neglected on the block lol. Ive had loud parties. Weve been loud. Boomer my dog used to escape allll the time. Ive asked for more than a cup of sugar lol Ive asked for help sawing off my cast, unlocking doors, pretty much you name it. And you know what I get in return? Love, respect, pats on the back, compliments for having good children. When I bought my new car I was getting thumbs up from up and down the block. It was my neighbors that looked out for me and checked on me thru my divorce and stress. My back neighbor would throw seeds over my fence and Id get a suprise crop of something pretty like amaranth or sunflowers. She put gifts on the fence for us♡ Melissa Rae Flint LaPorte♡ lots and lots to be grateful for!
