Day 76: Things continue to go well, all things considered. Audreys pain and discomfort are more easily managed each day. Ive reduced her dose each time and even been able to stretch the times between doses during the day. Nighttime continues to be our biggest struggle, as I think that laying down really strains her neck. I think she does rest each night, but its not yet without interruptions. This weekend, was daddys birthday! We went out to eat as a family (for the first time since all of this started!) and ventured to the mall. We even found another train to ride! Both kids really loved it, and Audrey did great with the longer outing. Its such a blessing to be able to resume semi regular family activities again! This evening, Im planning to take the kids to our first MOMS club social activity since before cancer. Its a cookie exchange, and there are sure to be lots of other kiddos! Audrey is very excited, and Im anxious to see how she does. Ive re-enrolled her in her preschool class starting in January, and this cookie exchange might be a nice indication of how thats going to go for her. :) Tomorrow, Im taking Audrey back to Childrens to have another swallow study done. Ive noticed some coughing and sputtering while drinking. Not every time, but often enough that I think she needs to be seen. Ill be sure and update after that evaluation.
