Day Care update: - Hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend and didn’t get too wet! For our customers who are teachers, school workers or have been off with children on half term we hope you all had a lovely restful week. Looking forward to seeing our doggy pals again next week. This week was Hendrix the Bichon / Shih Tzu’s and Tilly Cockerpoo’s Birthdays. Hendrix enjoyed a trip to day care before his Birthday party while Tilly enjoyed her Birthday having cuddles at home with her mum and dad. Lola Boxer returned after her season and was exuberant as ever, coming through the door at the usual 100 miles an hour! Trying to say hello to as many dogs and staff in the shortest possible time! We have had visits from three new dogs this week. Oscar the Dachshund and pup’s Ted the Chow and Ernie the Rottweiler. Betty the Border Collie who usually prefers playing ball with the staff decided that Ernie was her very best mate and spent hours playing with him. The budding romance between Baxter the Cavachon and Rosie the Shih Tzu is still in full bloom. They absolutely love each other and spend all their days playing together. Have you ever seen the advert for KitKat where the photographer waits patiently outside the Panda enclosure waiting for them to come out? When he takes a break, they come out and do a routine behind his back. We had a slight case of that today. I asked Lee and Callum to get photos of Cosmo as he always seems to miss out of the action photos. Natalie had him jumping onto the activity frame and sliding down the slide so Lee got the camera and positioned himself ready. Cosmo actually stopped and stared at me from across the room as if to say ‘you don’t get me that easily’! No matter how many times we tried to persuade him, he would not go down again! Don’t forget the fun dog show on Sunday at the Civic Centre in Swinton. Registrations from 9.30am, the show starts at 10am. Entries cost 1.00 per class.
