Day One of the 2014 I-80 Amateur Tournament is in the books! There were nine players that were able to navigate the tough Sanctuary Golf Course at par or better. That list was highlighted by day one leader, Michael Natales spectacular 6-under 66. Natale, of Indian Head Park, Illinois leads by one over New Lenoxs own Jason Buffone, who fired a fantastic 5-under 67. Kyle Nathan, Glenview, Illinois, will also play in the final threesome, finishing day one two shots back with a 4-under 68. Bolingbrooks David Cooke carded a 3-under 69, Chicagos Dylan Gergen and Auroras John Wright both shot 1-under 71. There are 27 players within 10 shots of Natale. The club championship division is a tight race heading into the final round with 6 guys within four shots of each other at the top. Come out tomorrow and watch the great finish and see who will be crowned 2014 I-80 Amateur Champion! Tee times start at 7:00 am with the final group getting the ball in the air at 1:10 pm.
