Day before yesterday I posted something about a writer who felt it proper to take a cover that I created for a Cornerstone publication to another publisher when our contract had expired. I explained some of what transpired. Yesterday, I received a very conciliatory phone call from the new publisher. It seems they did not realize the situation and believed the writer when he told them that it was his cover design. Im not sure if they were able to provide the writer with the facts of life concerning copyright law, but I was assured that the cover would be redesigned and the Cornerstone cover would be removed from their website (which it has been). In a perfect world everything and everyone would live up to our expectations and all would be in harmony. But in the world we live, we do the best with what we have. :-) Im satisfied with the way this has turned out.
