Day of the Lord Part VI In Amos 5:18, God says to us, Woe - TopicsExpress

Day of the Lord Part VI In Amos 5:18, God says to us, Woe [trouble, affliction, sorrow] unto you that desire the Day of the Lord [that want it to come and happen; that rejoice in it]! How does it affect your end? In other words, and remember, God is speaking to His people not the sinner, how will the end effect your judgment? The Day of the Lord [the end of time] is not good but bad. In vs 19, God says, there is no escape—none. It is going to be like a man running to get away from a lion but ran right into a bear and it killed him; or, he got away from the lion and found safety in his house and a [venomous] snake bit him—there is no escape from this day of destruction, death, and then, the final judgment. Yes, it is a very dark time and there is nothing good in this time. Obadiah 1:15 For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen [unbelievers and sinners]: as [you] have done, it shall be done unto you: your reward shall return upon your own head [come back on you]. In other words, you will reap what you sow.
