#Day16 is no time to be mean but keep it clean with your PRAYERS for Israel & Tajikistan +~~~~~DAY SIXTEEN of P.T.T.W. 9 ~~~~~+ #ISRAEL, MIDDLE EAST Prayer4Israel After splitting in 2007, Fatah, formerly the dominant faction in the Palestinian nationalist movement, and the Islamist group Hamas recently announced a peace deal and the formation of a Palestinian transitional government. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told his cabinet that the new unity government would “strengthen terror.” Mr. Netanyahu said, “Hamas is a terrorist organization that calls for Israel’s destruction, and the international community must not embrace it.” In response, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said, “Israel wants to punish us for agreeing with Hamas on this government. Each Israeli step will have a proper Palestinian response.” Pray for the salvations of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Pray for lasting peace in Israel. Pray that the new Palestinian government will not engage in terrorist activities but, instead, attempt to broker peace (The Bible, Psalm 122:6). #TAJIKISTAN, CENTRAL ASIA #Pray4Tajikistan Approximately 60 protesters set fire to several government buildings in Khorog. When the activists attempted to storm a police station to free a prisoner, officials opened fire on the crowd, killing two and injuring one. According to Tajik police, “Now top security officials are holding a meeting. The talk is about sending riot police or other special forces to Khorog to put it in order.” Pray for peace in Khorog. Ask the Lord to provide government authorities with wisdom and knowledge on how to handle the situation in Khorog. Pray for the safety and security of Khorog Christian Believers during this time of crisis (The Bible, Psalm 4:8).
