Day6. Part 1 Up to a beautiful morning for an assault on the tip. Over to the Loyalty Beach kiosk where John had a machine that dished out seriously bad instant coffee drinks. There could be an earn up here for an enterprising lad. But he had some dubious info that got me in .He told us about the back way to the tip and put me onto a fella I could get a days barra fishing up Jacky Jacky Creek . I was more excited than a rocket launch at Cape Canaveral. Off I go at sunrise to get a few fish at the Sensai beach wharf where the ferry leaves for Thursday Island. I start lobbing lures allover the place with the local Moorie lads ducking for cover as the triple hooks fly overhead Like crackers over Baghdad. They are pissing themselves laughing. I look down and they had livies on. I wasn’t going to get anything. Its stinking hot and I track down the fishing guide who is full of promises... Call me later and we will work it out. The plan had been to stay at Punsang Bay or Vyrlie point but I had to hang until 6 that night for details. Didn’t want to miss this for quids. The princess and I head up the back road John had put us onto and soon we are crossing a deep little creek with loose sand on either side .The VW Amoarok sliding around like an escaped gold fish on the lino. Then to the croc tent. The drive to the top is through an intense tunnel of rainforest with a smattering of creek crossings all the more groovy because of the intensity of crocs here. Anything could be in it. It’s a single lane with people dodging out of our way as we were driving like a Saturday morning in the eastern suburbs. We come out of the cool shadow of the rain forest and burst into this Fantastic Bay. Skirting the bay with princess buttercup saying imp not going there u will get munched by a croc. We climbed high and passed the cairns of stones that people have added to and then to the Northern most tip of this fantastic country. Her royal Highness wants to launch into we ocean .Off comes the gear and over the hill comes a family who decide to mill around .That’s the end of a bit of dipping at the tip
