Daycare: wandering the playground making small talk, asking what are you making? or what are you doing? Is something I constantly do and it sometimes gets funny answers. I asked a little two year old who was sitting on the grass what she was doing, as I wandered past her, and the answer was pretty cute. She looked up with a dusting of white, blue and pink around her mouth and casually said I eating chalk, and she was! She had a little pile of bits of sidewalk chalk with nibble marks on them on the ground in front of her. It actually made me wonder if they were different flavours, but not enough to sample any. I asked if she wanted to draw with me and she did, so we drew magnificent masterpieces and wrote great literary compositions up and down the legs of the swing sets, and yes...occasionally stopped for a little nibble now and again.
